Each 3-dimensional ram's head is incredibly detailed, including curling horns, slanted eyes, sculpted facial features, and lightly etched texture to represent soft fur. Applied Etruscan wirework and beadworkaccents carry onto the bracelet band, adding further dimensionalwith eye-catching scrolls and swirls! A smooth, matte finish and recently restored gold plating provide the perfect finishing touches, giving the piece a luxurious look and feel.The bracelet is hinged at the side, where it opens and closes with a discreet push clasp. An attached gold safety chain provides additional security when worn. Underneath one of the ram's heads is a small gold plaque stamped with two indistinguishable maker's marks. Measurements:The interior of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures about 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall. Itwould fit nicely on a medium to large sized wrist. Each ram's head measures about 7/8" long and 5/8" wide. The front of the bracelet measures 1" wide where the bypass design intersects, and the backof the bracelet measures 1/4" wide and thick. The total pennyweight of the piece is 19.4 dwt (31.3 grams).
Condition:The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to thegoldsetting, which was recently re-plated to restore its finish. The Etruscan details remain intact. The hinge and clasp are secure and in good working condition, and the safety chain is secure.
