A beautiful pair of coral earrings from the Victorian(ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, each earring begins with a round coral cabochon held within a three-prong setting. The cabochon is surrounded by a unique gold border, which resembles entangled tree branches. The earrings also feature a lower, teardrop-shaped coral link, which features a gold cap, which also incorporates the twisting branch design. The coral exhibits a lovely light orangish-pink hue, and includes faint, white marbling. The earrings are completed by simple posts, and feature friction backs. The back of each earring is marked with a "14K" purity mark. A lovely, colorful pair, these earrings would make a spectacular addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements:The earrings hang 2 long in total length, and measure 1/2" at their widest point.
Condition:The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or coral stones. The earring posts and friction backs are secure and in working order.
